SIL 2, SIL3 FM Approvals Certificate of Compliance to IEC 61508 has been received for IPES IR/UV and IPES IR3 Flame Detectors. The IPES Flame Detector is designed to detect typical fires such as those produced by alcohol, n-heptane, gasoline, jet fuels, and hydrocarbons. It is highly immune to false alarms caused by lighting, sunlight reflection, arc-welding, hot objects and other sources of radiation. IPES Flame Detector is regarded as Type B field device per IEC 61508.

New update model UPES-50 Multi-Channel Controller offers maximum flexibility to users as a standalone, independent control system is compatible with automatic gas detection systems and fire alarm systems.

            New model of UPES-50 is allowed to connect up to 16 detectors in each signaling loop at different modes: live-insertion capability/standby, loop, two independent ports. Detectors connection via RS-485 is allowed to research the connected equipment automatically, to read generic parameters and manage of operation modes of detectors SGOES, SSS-903, IPES IR/UV, IPES IR3 and others – in standard interface mode. Duplication detector’s adjustments/ system channels mode is available.

            UPES-50 Multi-Channel Controller operates in wide range of AC/DC power supply. The Detectors’ user preference and system channels adjustments are saved in the case of power-off.

     Certificate of Compliance of FM Approvals has been received for IPES IR3 for wide range of fuels. Fuels tested for response include the following: n-heptane, isopropyl Alcohol, JP4 Jet Fuel, Diesel, Ethanol, Gasoline, Kerosene, Methanol, Methane. This certificate reflects the present Approval of the product as described in the original Approval Project and the following subsequent reports: 3037106, dated April 21, 2010.

FM Approvals

Multispectral Flame Detector IPES IR3 has been tested at FM Approvals Research Campus in West Glocester, RI on wide range of fuels and distances. Performance tests were successfully provided on such types of fuels as Heptane, JP4, Methanol, Kerosene, Gasoline, Diesel Fuel, Ethanol, Methane.

Along with standard flame sources 1x1ft and 2x2ft the detectors were tested on methane sand burner, by which was simulated methane escaping and ignition from the pipelines which are laid out under the ground. The given test enables to create the real conditions of gas leak in environmental in view of the fact that such kind of pipelines are used both in industry and civil needs.

FM Approval Examination and Test Report

The Certification tests of IPES-IR3 have been successfully carried out at the Research Campus of FM Approvals in West Glocester and Certificate of Compliance was issued by FM Approval on 12 February 2010.

 IPES-IR 3 is FM-certified for fire detection and as Explosionproof for Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C, and D, T4 T_a=-40°C to +85°C; IP66, hazardous (classified) locations for US and Canada in accordance with FM Approval Standards and other regulations.

  MVES intended for indirect transmission and information recording by the request from external control unit. MVES is the universal device and can be used both as a unit of Flame Detectors IPES or Gas Analyzers SGOES or independent device.

  Video Surveillance Module is good for operating in composed of automatic sets and fire prevention complexes and fire fighting protection systems and/or gas control systems. The MVES are friendly to most control and indicating equipment of different manufactures.

As a part of automatic fire fighting or gas control system MVES provides record of image information about flame appearing in the field of view of detectors and transfers it to operator’s monitor immediately.

Video Surveillance Module provides 24 hours supervision of the same zone that detector monitors. MVES forms video data and stores them in memory as frame sequence with set time interval and transfers them by digital interface.

The main advantages of MVES is its compact size, explosionproof , low power consumption and wide temperature range of operation as well as high protection level from external environmental factors, such as EMI and radiation.

By Uzbekistan Certification and Metrology Standard Agency (“The Rendering of Metrological Service Center of Uzstandard Agency”)  was provided the certification of Gas Analyzing Equipment.

Approval Types of Instrumentation certificates of compliance were issued on SGAES-TG and SGAES-TGM.

In 2009 JSC “Electronstandart-pribor” successfully introduced in serial production the new video surveillance module MVES intended for indirect transmission and information recording by the request from external control unit.

Video Surveillance option has increased the operation features of production line of ESP – including IPES Flame Detectors and SGOES Gas Analyzers. For providing the possibility of supplying the present equipment the correspondent modifications was made in spec.

In the end of September FM Approvals had carried out audit of IPES manufacturing  to examine for compliance  integrity safety level SIL-2 in accordance with Standard IEC 61508. As well as the quarterly audit off IPES, SGOES and SGAES-TG Gas Control System manufacturing for compliance with FM Approvals requirements was successfully passed.

March 16, 2009. The Approval of Federal Agency of Ecological Technological and Atomic Supervision has received for gas Gas Analyzer SGOES  application.

March 06, 2009 IECEx Conformance testing  of SGOES have been completed successful at FM Approvals (USA) laboratories.

February 11, 2009 the Fire Service Committee of ESM Kazakhstan was issued the Approval on Automatic detection and fire control controller KASUPT application on the territory of Kazakhstan.

Junuary 19, 2009 The Approval of Federal Agency of Ecological Technological and Atomic Supervision has received for multi channel gas analyzers SGAES-TGM application.
